Saturday 10/8/22 at 8:00am I went in to Bright Now Dental for Oral Surgery to remove 14 teeth. Saturday 10/8/22 at 9:37am I was informed by Dr. Peri a 15th tooth had crumbled during the procedure due to heavy decay. Saturday 10/8/22 at 9:40 Dr. Peris assistant advised my wife tooth had crumbled during the procedure due to heavy decay. He then proceeded to walk me out to my car bloodied with no bandages and zero after care instructions or medical paperwork stating what had just been performed, which anesthesia was utilized, or any after care instructions. Tuesday 10/11/22 at 3:30 upon follow up I was advised by the head dentist, Dr. Shannon B, that Dr. Peri accidentally removed an extra tooth due to his assistants guidance. He did not himself confirm or double check. Dr. Peri then requested the medical staff at Bright Now Dental to lie to me and my wife claiming my tooth had decay and had fallen apart. Dr. Blair then showed me X-rays of the tooth in question showing no decay. Dr. Peri fabricated the story. Tuesday 10/18/22 at 4:00pm. Spoke to The Office Manager, Rose. She informed me that she reported the incident and Dr. Peris behavior following the procedure to corporate. She said she was unable to keep the doctor from operating on other patients without corporate taking matters into their own hands. At that time I also inquired about the spontaneous bone grafts that Dr. Peri had suddenly required the day of the surgery, before he even had any form of consultation with me. I was informed by the receptionist I had bone loss. Rose informed me, Dr. Peri requires bone grafts on every patient he removes teeth from. I inquired if that was the case prior to Dr. Peri joining their practice in July 2022. I was informed the previous practicing oral surgeon did not. I then asked if it was an industry standard. It was not. 10/20/22 8:00am called corporate to follow up. Upon calling I was told they would take an incident report. I provided them with all of the information and expressed my concerns for the oral surgeon continuing to practice surgery in their office. I was advised I would receive a call back within 48 hours. 10/26/22 1:50am Jackie with Smile Brands called and asked for my story. I repeated my insistence Dr Peri removed the tooth negligently and so she offered to refund my $1,400 I paid for the dental work if I were to sign a waiver form. 10/26/22 4:00pm went in to Bright Now Dental for an adjustment and they asked me to sign a Release Of All Claims Form. I refused.
