I truly believe my mothers appendectomy turned into a supposedly temporary ileostomy due to age related incompetence and poor vision. With the shortage of surgeons the hospital allowed him to continue to operate. The kicker is he suddenly retired with no notice to patients. They were abandoned. No information shared who my mom could have take over her case, how to get her records, etc..
