How to push my sugar down?

I think I’m pre-diabetic, I gues. I’ve been having symptoms that make me feel this way. So I’ve started testing my BS several times a day and what I got is this – on A1c test I got 5.7% and fasting numbers are 93-121, averaging about 110. I’m gonna discuss it with my doctor. But I’m worried ‘cause I’m taking a med that I can’t be without and that is known for rising sugar level. I’m already doing what I can – trying to eat healthy and exercise. If that won’t help, what should I do next to push my sugar down and keep it that way.
