Explain my test results
A month ago I lost over 20 pounds without any reason and also has excessive thirst and urination. I began checking my BS and it was in the area of 400 to 500, but once I started taking long acting insulin along with a low carb diet, my numbers fell to the area of 150. I’m 23 years old, but my doctor believes I have type 1 after running some tests. My results are GAD (3740 units/ml), ia2 (120 U/ml), c-peptide (2ng/ml), a1c is 8.7, and ketones in urine 83. I’m not a doctor and I don’t understand what those test numbers mean. If anyone could explain what they are, I’d really appreciate that!
