January 22, 2021 at 7:13 PM I
recently found out that I’m pregnant. But my husband and I both have family
history of diabetes. In particular, my sister had gestational diabetes 3 years ago.
I’m being super cautious with what I eat, trying to avoid all kinds of sugar as
much as I can. Unfortunately, I can’t go see the doctor and do some blood tests
because I don’t have a health insurance right now, but last year I did have a
blood sugar test and it indicated pre-diabetes. I found a new job recently and
will get health insurance soon, so I’m planning to see a doctor as soon as it
happens. Any tips for me what to ask a doctor? Or what I should and shouldn’t eat? If anyone has any recipes
to share, would be really helpful too! Thanks! |
