He screwed up my upper left molar. I was referred to him by my local dentist in Pensacola. I regret ever stepping into his office at Elite Endodontics. Dr. Todd complained during the miserable hour long procedure that his fingers were too big to fit in my mouth I have a normal six mouth, and that he hates doing molars because they are hard to reach. In hindsight, he did a half job because he doesnt know what he is doing. I mean, he went to school for this, right? At one point he even asked his assistant to reach into my mouth, because he couldnt get his fingers into my mouth. That is unacceptable! They charged me a lot of money, but the root canal RC failed. They did the RC in February of 2022. Six months later in August, I still feel pain when biting down on crunchy foods, and every morning when I wake up, all I can feel is that tooth in my mouth. It feels really weird, its hard to explain, but Dr. Todd failed to get all the roots. I called and spoke with Daj, their receptionist. She immediately went on the defensive, alleging that I might be grinding my teeth at night, or my tooth could be cracked. I just had an x-ray at my local dentist who did the crown after Dr. Todd did the RC. The x-ray shows that the tooth is fine, Dr. Todd just didnt do a good job, leaving some of the roots in the tooth. I could hear during the procedure that Dr. Todd was audibly frustrated, which concerned me then, and now I feel the consequences in my tooth. This shouldnt have happened! I question Dr. Todds skills and training. When I asked the woman, Daj, on the phone if he would redo my tooth, to get all the roots, she said it very likely wont help any. I dont believe her! It is clear to me now that Dr. Todd just wanted my money, without any liability. Just because I had a cavity, upfront he refused to guarantee the tooth. But I needed a RC and asked him to do it anyway. So he was happy to hear that, because he got A lot of money from me to fix my tooth. I was okay with him not guaranteeing the tooth, but I am not okay with him doing a lousy job. Sadly, these people at Elite Endodontics in Pensacola are paranoid about liability, they go on the defensive, making excuses instead of focusing on the patient. After all the money I paid them, youd think that Dr. Todd would have offered to gladly redo the tooth the right way. But they made a bunch of excuses instead, doing all that they could to discourage me from getting the tooth redone. So now I have to either live with this discomfort or pay another endodontist to redo it the right way. I do not recommend Dr. Todd at all, and I will never go back to Elite Endodontics or Dr. Steven Todd. Shame on them!
