Recipe Details:
This is a very tasty and diabetic friendly dish, which makes a perfect side for an everyday dinner as well as for a holiday table. After all, it’s hard to find a better combination than broccoli and cheese!
Step 1 Boil some water in a sauce pan (enough water to cover broccoli). Divide the broccoli into inflorescences. Put the broccoli in the boiling salted water and cook for 5 minutes. Then put the broccoli to ice water, for the broccoli not to lose its shape and color. Then drain the water. Step 2 Prepare the dough: Beat the eggs with a whisk, add milk and cream. Whisk again and then add mustard and sift flour into the mixture. Stir well and add nutmeg, salt and pepper. You can also add any other spices of your choice. Step 3 Add 2/3 of the grated cheese to the dough. Step 4 Line a baking dish with baking paper, evenly put in the broccoli and cover it with the dough. Step 5 Preheat oven to 395 F. Sprinkle the broccoli with the remaining cheese and bake the dish for 40 minutes. Remove the ready dish from the oven and serve hot. Enjoy!
