My daughter (29 years old) was told she was in kidney failure and would need a transplant. Her other doctors tried to explain that there are probably root causes for the kidney failure that can be reviewed without ever considering a transplant. This doctor was unwilling to dig a bit deeper to look for root causes of the problem even though my daughter had other physicians (gastroenterologist) who said her problem was directly tied to her ulcerative colitis. My daughter is a nurse and lives in a remote area, and although she (and other health professionals) disagree with Dr. Kanury's final diagnosis, Dr. Kanury finally said there is nothing else she can do. Wow!
