I was sent away without being seen as an established patient with an appointment because of a very slight cough even though Ive had two negative covid tests since developing the cough. I followed their own published restrictions on covid practices and did not have any of the listed symptoms that they ask you to reschedule due to. My cough was a month old and probably more cause by smoking cigarettes recently, but they offered no alternatives and no solution other than to reschedule with another location and getting another covid test. I am all for being cautious, I have my vaccines and one of the reasons for this visit was to get my booster, I still always wear a mask and Im very careful. I cant do the type of appointment I need via telehealth, its a fairly urgent need, and Ive already waited over a week for the appointment when they cancel with no warning for a reason that contradicts their own posted policy. Unfortunately now I need to also find another doctor. This kind of refusal to see someone who needs medical care without following your own guidelines is unethical. At least provide your patients with your actual policies so they can try to meet your demands.
