Stay away unless you want to be shamed by a woman that wont help you. This woman does not need to work in the healthcare setting, especially pain management. I was a patient at Spectrum Spine and Pain Management since April 2019. Never had an issue until I met Angela.
I went in with severe back pain. I could barely walk, I couldnt sit, bend over, the pain was a 10. When Angela first walks in she says Why didnt you pre schedule your SI joint injections? This wouldnt have happened if you had your SI injections scheduled. That was not my treatment plan. Not once was I told to pre schedule my injections. Angela was shaming me as this was my fault I was in pain. No empathy whatsoever.
Next thing, Im laid back on the table in the room. I tried to sit up and I could not do it on my own. Ive never not been able to sit myself up. It was the worst pain Ive ever felt trying to sit up. I ask Angela for help to sit up. She looks at me and says Oh I cant I have a fractured tail bone. And then just stares at me while Im sobbing. I said can you get someone else that can help then? She tries to suggest a way for me to sit up on my own from this very high table after I just said I cannot sit up. Im 31 years old. If I say I cannot sit up from the table, I cannot sit up. Im in the worst pain in my life. If I ask for help, I need help. I had to yell for her to get someone to come help me.
Before I left that appointment I told Angela it was inappropriate for her to shame me for my pain. What does she say? Oh no Im sorry you took it that way. Thats not an apology. She wouldnt order an MRI for 2 weeks after an SI joint injection when this pain was way different and more severe than my SI joint pain. I cried and practically begged to be scheduled for an MRI since my last was in 2019. She wouldnt order it. I went to the ER a week later because the pain was so severe. Finally after that she ordered an MRI. Come to find out I have three herniated discs in my low back.
I ended up finding a new pain clinic. This is also after a triage nurse named Marcia that works from home said to find a new pain clinic when I was sobbing trying to get the MRI ordered. I canceled all future appointments with Spectrum Spine and Pain. When called with my MRI results I said I am no longer going to be a patient there because of the horrible care and treatment I was given by Angela Embree and Marcia. That was over 2 weeks ago now. Today I get two letters in the mail saying I find it necessary to inform you that I will no longer be able to serve as your physician. This is due to a breakdown in the patientphysician relationship. Why are you sending me these letters? I already said I am not working with you. She tries to make it look like I am at fault for this. Angela Embree is the worst provider Ive ever met. The only thing she provided me with was stress and more pain.
