Dr. Perl should have his license revoked. Kaiser should be put out of business. My mother was a patient. She was having difficulty breathing and asked for an Xray which he denied stating she had had one in the previous year. She suffered a great deal and went to a real doctor who ordered an MRI after her treatments did not relieve my mothers pain. When the doctor got the results of the MRI she told us there was nothing more she could do and said to go back to Kaiser. On Thanksgiving day, 1997 Perl called us into the office to tell her she had lung cancer and his only comment was, sorry. Four months later she was dead. The two Xrays showed my mother had a lung tumor when she had the first Xray! Apparently, the film was never read and obviously, doctor Perl never bothered to look at it himself. If you value your life do not go to him. I called in the media and was interviewed by one of the major networks. On the day of my mothers memorial service, I got a call from the network that they could not air the story because Kaiser threatened to sue. Be aware you cannot sue Kaiser for malpractice as when you join you sign a arbitration agreement.
