Recipe Details:
A diabetic-friendly appetizer that combines the qualities of a healthy and tasty dish.


Ingredients:
  • White beans in tomato sauce – 1 can (14-16 Oz)
  • Medium onion (chopped) – 1
  • Walnuts (crushed) – 1/3 cup
  • Parsley – 5 sprigs
  • Curry powder – ½ tsp.
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pomegranate arils (optional) – ¼ cup
    Recipe Directions:
    Step 1
    Drain all the tomato sauce from the can of beans into a separate container.
    Step 2
    Put the bean in blender and grind until smooth.
    Step 3
    Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry onion until golden brown.
    Step 4
    Combine the ground beans, fried onion, crushed walnuts, salt and spices. Mix well.
    Step 5
    Serve on a plate. Garnish with parsley and pomegranate arils. Enjoy!
