Quick and easy recipe for diabetic-friendly chocolate candies. The treat for everyone to enjoy!
Step 1 Melt cocoa butter with cocoa powder in a double boiler. Stir periodically.
NOTE: To make a double boiler, just take a pot, fill it with a couple of inches of water, and then put a smaller pot or a bowl on top of it. Make sure that the top pot covers the bottom pot filled with water completely. Then turn on heat. As the water heats and steam develops, it stays between the two pots and heats the top pot. Step 2 While cocoa butter is melting, add the maple syrup and crushed almonds. Keep stirring periodically until liquid consistency. Step 3 Pour the molten mass into a silicone candy mold. Cover tightly with plastic wrap, let it cool for a few minutes and put in a fridge for 2-3 hours until the candies harden. Step 4 Take candies out of the mold and enjoy!
NOTE: Store the candies in a glass container covered with a lid in your refrigerator.
