Ingredients:
Tofu – 1 lb.
Whole wheat flour – 1 1/3 cup
Orange – 1
Diabetic-friendly brown sugar alternative – equivalent of 2 tbsp. of brown sugar (optional)
Step 1 Cut the tofu into cubes, dip in flour, then salt. Step 2 Heat oil in a frying pan, add tofu and fry until golden brown. Then put the tofu on a paper towel. Step 3 Squeeze the juice from the orange into the pan where the tofu was fried. Cook until juice thickens. Step 4 Preheat oven to 360 F. Put the tofu on a baking sheet and pour over the sauce. Sprinkle the sweetener on top if desired. Bake for about 20 minutes. Bon Appetite!
