Step 1 Heat some vegetable oil on a saucepan and then put there the carrot, bell pepper, onion, and tomato. Simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes. Step 2 Add hot water, salt and ground pepper into the saucepan. Bring the water to boil and cook for 5 minutes. Step 3 Add lentil and keep cooking for about 20 more minutes. Step 4 Add potato to the soup and continue cooking for 7 minutes. Step 5 Remove the ready soup from the stove and let it sit for 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
