If you have a slow cooker, try this diabetic-friendly turkey breast recipe. The meat languishes for a long time in a fragrant sauce and turns out to be very juicy and flavorful.
Step 1 Mix curry, garlic powder, ground pepper, and ½ tsp. of salt. Sprinkle the turkey breast with this spice mix on all sides and let it sit for 20 minutes. Step 2 Place the diced onion in a slow cooker, add ½ cup of water, wine and lemon juice. Put the turkey breast into a slow cooker. Cook on low power for 4 hours or on high power for 2 hours. Step 3 Remove the turkey breast from the slow cooker, put on a plate, cover with aluminum foil and leave for 20 minutes. Step 4 Make a sauce: Pour the liquid left over from the turkey breast cooking into a saucepan. Add 3 tbsp. of water, cornstarch, and ¼ tsp of salt. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Step 5 Cut the turkey fillet into slices. Drizzle with sauce. Serve and enjoy!
