Ingredients:
Ground lean beef – 0.7 lb.
Zucchini (cut into semicircles) – 0.7 lb.
Heavy cream – ½ cup
Low-fat, low-sodium cheese (coarsely grated) – 3.5 Oz
Medium onion (chopped in quarter rings) – 1
Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Spices (mix of basil, oregano, and thyme) – ½ tsp.
Step 1 Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, add onion and fry for about 3 minutes until golden brown. Then put the onion aside on a plate. Step 2 Put the ground beef on the frying pan and fry until the meat evenly changes its color. Stir often. Step 3 Place the zucchini in a sauce pan and pour boiling water over them. Add salt. Boil for 5 minutes, then put the zucchini in a colander. Step 4 Add the onion to the frying pan with the meat. Add salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute. Step 5 Preheat oven to 360 F. Mix together the heavy cream, grated cheese, spices, salt and pepper. Step 6 Put the fried beef with onion in a baking dish and press on it a little. Step 7 Put the zucchini on the meat. Then pour the cream and cheese mix over the zucchini. Step 8 Bake the zucchini gratin in the oven for 25 minutes. Step 9 Remove the dish from the oven, serve and enjoy!
