Tilapia fillet is great in combination with buttermilk, Parmesan cheese, and almonds. A very interesting and diabetic-friendly dish with a tender and creamy taste!
Ingredients:
Tilapia filet – 1 lb.
Buttermilk – 5 tbsp.
Breadcrumbs (preferably, breadcrumb alternative) – 2.5 Oz (5/8 cup)
Step 1 Wash the fish fillets and dry with a paper towel. If the filet have skin, remove it. Step 2 Pour the buttermilk in a bowl. Add the breadcrumbs, parsley, mustard and salt into the buttermilk. Mix well. Then place the fish in this mixture, making sure to coat the fish well on all sides. Step 3 Melt butter on a frying pan. Step 4 Cover the baking sheet with baking paper and grease it with vegetable oil. Lay out the tilapia on the greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with almonds and parmesan, pour over the melted butter and pepper. Step 5 Preheat oven to 450 F. Bake the tilapia fillet until tender (about 6 minutes). Step 6 Serve to plates. If desired, you can serve it with any sauce or dressing of your choice. Enjoy!
