Ingredients:
Chickpeas – 7 Oz
Dried figs – 5 Oz
Nuts (almonds, walnuts, cashew, pistachio, or peanuts) – 3.5 Oz
Water (if desired, you can use alcohol instead, such cognac, brandy, or rum) – 4 tbsp.
Step 1 Soak the chickpeas overnight in cold water. Step 2 Soak the dried figs overnight as well. You can use water or alcohol for that purpose. Step 3 Wash the chickpeas, cover with water and boil until ready (for about an hour) over medium heat. Then, take the chickpeas out of the water, dry, and grind in a blender. Step 4 Chop the dried figs to small pieces. Crush the nuts. Step 5 Combine all ingredients together and add sweetener to taste. Mix well until homogeneous mass. Step 6 Take small amounts of candy mass and mold candies of any shape from it. To enhance the look and taste of your candies, cover them with cocoa powder and crushed nuts. Serve and enjoy!
