Steamed tilapia fillet is a very light and tender diabetic-friendly dish that is great for any diet.
Ingredients:
Tilapia filet – 2 pieces
Lemon juice – to taste
Salt, ground black pepper, fish seasoning or any spices of your choice – to taste
Step 1 Rub the tilapia fillet with spices, salt and pepper, then pour lemon juice over it. Marinade for half an hour. Step 2 Cut the fillet into medium pieces if you wish, or leave them as is. Step 3 Grease the steamer plate with vegetable oil and place the fish on it in a single layer. Step 4 Add water into your steam in accordance with the steamer’s instructions. Once the water boils, steam the fish no more than 15 minutes. (Refer to the cooking time recommended for your steamer.) Step 5 Take the fish out of the steamer and serve. You can serve it with a side or a sauce of your choice.
